By downloading, installing, or using the Nexura Security WordPress plugin ("the Software") or accessing nexurasecurity.com ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. GNU General Public License (GPL)
The Nexura Security plugin (free version) is released as free and open-source software under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later (GPLv2+).
Under this license, you are granted the following freedoms:
- Freedom to Use: You may use the Software for any purpose, including commercial use.
- Freedom to Study: You may study how the Software works and modify it to suit your needs.
- Freedom to Share: You may redistribute copies of the original Software.
- Freedom to Modify: You may distribute copies of your modified versions to others.

3. Pro Version License
The Nexura Security Pro version is a premium extension with additional features. While the core codebase remains GPLv2+, the Pro license is a per-site subscription managed through Freemius. Pro license terms include:
- License activation is required per WordPress installation
- Subscriptions are billed annually and can be cancelled at any time
- Refunds are subject to the Freemius refund policy (7-day money-back guarantee)
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. While we strive to provide excellent security tools, no system is 100% secure. We do not guarantee that the Software will prevent all unauthorized access, hacks, or data breaches.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the authors or copyright holders of Nexura Security be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software. You assume full responsibility for maintaining backups of your website data.
6. Intellectual Property & Image Usage Policy
All content, including but not limited to images, graphics, logos, illustrations, and blog media published on Nexura Security, is the exclusive intellectual property of Nexura Security and is protected by international copyright laws.
Regarding our images and visual assets, you explicitly agree to the following:
- No Unauthorized Use: You may not download, copy, reproduce, or republish our images on any other website, blog, or commercial project without our explicit written permission.
- No Hotlinking: Direct linking (hotlinking) to our image URLs from external websites is strictly prohibited.
- No Alteration: You may not crop, edit, remove watermarks, or alter our images in any way to claim them as your own.
We actively monitor the web for copyright infringement using reverse image search and digital watermarking. Any unauthorized use of our visual content will result in immediate DMCA Takedown Notices to your hosting provider and search engines, and may lead to further legal action.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract proprietary server-side components (if any)
- Misrepresent the origin of the Software or claim it as your own without proper attribution
- Use the Software to attack, exploit, or compromise other websites or systems
8. Third-Party Services
The Software may integrate with third-party services including but not limited to:
- Google reCAPTCHA — Subject to Google Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Turnstile — Subject to Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- HaveIBeenPwned — Subject to HIBP Privacy Policy
- Freemius — Subject to Freemius Privacy Policy
Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those providers.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes. Continued use of the Software after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to open-source software distribution, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
